CERTIFIED HEALTH CARE AIDE

Job Description

We are currently seeking Certified Healthcare Aides to join our team, serving Brandon, MB.

We are looking for individuals who are responsible, compassionate, caring, and hardworking. Applicants must be reliable, detail-oriented, and possess strong time management skills. The ability to take direction and complete delegated tasks is essential.

Candidates must work well both independently and as part of a team. A minimum of two years’ experience in a related field is preferred. Applicants will be required to provide the following documentation prior to employment and are responsible for any associated costs:

• Vulnerable Sector Check (within the last six months)
• Adult/Child Abuse Registry Check (within the last six months)
• Criminal Record Check (within the last six months)
• CPR/First Aid Certification
• Health Care Aide Certificate from a recognized institution
• PHIA (Personal Health Information Act) training

Duties include:
• Assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, skin and hair care, oral care, toileting, feeding, ambulation, and positioning
• Monitoring and reporting changes in clients’ physical, emotional, and mental well-being
• Safely operating lifts and mobility equipment
• Providing catheter care
• Performing light housekeeping duties including bed making and maintaining a tidy environment
