When Christine first moved in to assisted living she was very vibrant, took great pride in her appearance, enjoyed the movies, and did a lot of reading. As her vision deteriorated and became more impaired throughout the years, Christine became more anxious and frightened due to her vision loss. This caused Christine to occationally lash out and she would strike out toward staff or other clients in her facility. Blossoms SeniorCare were requested to provide private care for Christine.
One of Blossoms SeniorCare’s certified health care aids Jane was put in to work with Christine. Jane had a gentle approach and built a solid relationship during the weeks that followed. As their companionship has developed, the two have established an unbreakable bond. Jane and Christine continue to have beautiful rapport today. They spend time outdoors, sitting in the sun together. Jane wheels her around in her wheelchair and assists her with her daily needs while the two spend time in meaningful conversation. Christine has become very relaxed and those outbursts no longer occur because of feeling secure with Jane.
